REINCARNATION: Let There Be Light

Let there be light!… well kitchen lighting to be more exact. Great lighting and great lighting accessories is one of those things I have just recently discovered. I redid my whole apartment last year and it was completely in love with it, but there always felt like something was missing. Until I bought a great floor lamp [very cheap from Target] and it literally lit the whole room up. If people can’t see the beautiful charm of your home– it won’t matter. So give them light! Here are my inspiration images for kitchen lighting [in my not so near future home].

LOVE LETTERS TO HOME.

So of course I had to find myself [and my future kitchen] some real life options to get this look.

This light fixture is a combination of elements for West Elm's lighting department. The first is the Edison-Style Lightbulb ($15) paired with the West Elm Cord Set ($29-39) in Copper and the Lens Glass Shade for $29. All together this light fixture would cost around $75. These would be insanely perfect hanging above a countertop island or a bar.

These are two different FOTO Pendant Lights from IKEA [dark gray and aluminum] for only $19. Pair them with an Edison-Style Light bulb from West Elm and you have a really classic look with some character.

This is my West Elm splurge, their Glass Orb Chandelier for $499. Beautiful over that dining room table or above a kitchen island. Love.
