STYLIST: Reinventing the Curtain

It is easy to think that curtains just cover the windows and block the sunlight when you’re desperately trying to get the last few minutes of sleep, but really there are ways that curtains can change the entire look of a room. I found five great examples of how you can use curtains in an unexpected and unique way:

curtains as a POP OF COLOR

Curtains can be used as a pop of color in a room. I love this bright green contrast against a room focused in neutrals.

ADDING COLOR TO A ROOM

Curtains can also be the color aspect in a room. This is great option for those living in an apartment or renting a place that they can not paint!

curtains as a PARTITION

These curtains add a bit more privacy to an open space. Curtains as partitions or room dividers would be great in a studio or loft apartment.

HALLWAY CURTAINS

Love this idea of putting long flowing curtains in a hallway. These curtains are the same color as the walls so it doesn't make the hallway seem narrower, just more dimensional. Love.

curtains as a UNIQUE HEADBOARD

Love this idea for a smaller bedroom with great windows. What a unique way to position the bed and use the curtains as a headboard like piece. Love. And I LOVE the color combinations here.

  1. Beautiful pictures! Thank you for sharing. I really love the combination of emerald and grey – curtains look so refreshing and bright. Also these white long curtains in the corridor look amazing – it’s like a private pampering retreat for dear self 🙂
