REINCARNATION: Retro Appliances

Retro. So I am not super crazy about vintage items, but retro items I LOVE. I love new items made with a retro feel (mostly because I like the idea that I am the only one who’s owned the item and its going to work properly!) I’ve always loved colored appliances (I mean who doesn’t want a pink Kitchen Aid mixer?!) but I have recently fallen in love with the idea of retro appliances over the simple and classic stainless steel. Its a new way to spice up your kitchen and make your home so unique.

TOURIST STYLE: Bar Belmont in the Belmont Hotel, Dallas, TX

I have been so delinquent with posts this week! I am still recovering from this weekend I guess… my mom came in to town to celebrate her 50th birthday and 3 friends surprised her by coming down as well. So needless to say we were busy busy busy! I will have a lot of Dallas tourist posts coming soon! But I found my new FAVORITE bar in Dallas… Bar Belmont in the Belmont Hotel. It has the best view of the Dallas skyline on their gorgeous outdoor bar patio.

The Belmont Hotel is a little historic boutique hotel. Its been around since the 1940s!

HOME-SPIRATION: Gender Neutral Nursery

I am from a big family… well a HUGE family, there are always new little ones around! I wanted to look at the idea of a gender neutral nurseries. Is it even possible?! A lot of couples like to wait to know the gender of their baby until he or she is born… so how do you decorate for a little one without being gender specific?! Here are some of my nursery home-spirations…
