HOME-SPIRATION: Seeing Red

I am not really a huge fan of red. It has never really been a favorite color of mine and I find it so hard to use in interior decorating, but in honor of REDS OPENING DAY I am dedicating this post to my hometown team colors. Here are some of my favorite home-spiration images of interiors playing with the color red.

SUNDAY INSPIRATION: Living In The Moment

LOVE LETTERS TO HOME.

Lately I have realized I keep wanting, wishing, and hoping time to fly by and I really shouldn’t be! I have so many great moments ahead (graduation, a big move, and a new job!) but I really need to cherish and live in the moment. If I keep focusing on what is ahead I won’t realize how great the days are right now. This week I am going to focus my energies on living in the moment, cherishing my time right now and not just focusing on the future! Enjoy your Sunday, and I wish you a wonderful week to come!

HOME-SPIRATION: On Display

I have confessed my love for beautiful kitchen home goods the entire time I have had this blog. Especially my love for all things Anthropologie. I have a dream that if I slowly accumulate small beautiful items one day my whole kitchen will be full of them! I love the idea of open shelving and all your beautiful stylish dishes being on display. I also love the idea of your pots and pans being on display. Maybe not my Paula Dean beat up college girl pots and pans, but hopefully one day soon I will have a gorgeous set of stainless steel or copper pots and pans that I would ADORE to show off! Here are some of my favorite home-spiration images for showing off your pots and pans.

HAPPY HOUR: Cucumber Refresher

Today David and I are venturing to Columbus to help our friend move apartments. I have a feeling after a long day of lifting and moving (on David’s part) and a long day delegating and directing (of course on my part) we will be in need of a cold drink. Here is a great drink recipe that is refreshing and full of Spring! Enjoy!

REINCARNATION: Bench Style Dining Room Tables

After this past Thanksgiving, I realized I love cooking for big crowds. There is nothing better than your loved ones gathered around one table enjoying food that you have cooked. David and I don’t have a dining room table, or really the space for one, but I am still dreaming about the day we have one! A lot of people don’t use their dining room because its too formal. I think that bench seating dining room tables are the perfect solution to this because they are casual and friendly for large family dinners. Here are some of my bench style dining room tables inspiration images and a few of my favorites you can add to your own space.

HOME-SPIRATION: Gravel Patio

As I think, and rethink about this patio project David and I are planning once we return to Texas, I am coming up with crazier and crazier ideas… well according to David! I found an amazing (and what I thought would be easy) patio idea, a gravel patio! Here are some of my favorite home-spirations for a gravel patio and a few resources if you want to create your own.

HOME-SPIRATION: Patterned Powder Room

The only thing about wall paper that I really have experience with is being a little kid and watching my parents scrape off bunny wallpaper trim from the kitchen in our new house. I have been a skeptic of wallpaper ever since then! I don’t know about wallpapering a whole room, but I love the idea of using wallpaper in small spaces, the powder room in particular. I think these small spaces are the perfect place to go wild with pattern and print. I find it the perfect place to express the craziest ideas! Here are some of my favorite home-spiration images for wallpapered powder rooms.
