REINCARNATION: Bar Scene

If you have read previous posts you know that my boyfriend and I are huge wine drinkers. I have recently been OBSESSED with trying to find us a beautiful bar, capable of holding tons of wine and that goes with the style of our downstairs. We have a perfect spot, it is just finding the perfect piece of furniture to go there! Here are some of my favorite inspiration images for the bar, and a few great options we have been looking at.

TOURIST STYLE: Bar Belmont in the Belmont Hotel, Dallas, TX

I have been so delinquent with posts this week! I am still recovering from this weekend I guess… my mom came in to town to celebrate her 50th birthday and 3 friends surprised her by coming down as well. So needless to say we were busy busy busy! I will have a lot of Dallas tourist posts coming soon! But I found my new FAVORITE bar in Dallas… Bar Belmont in the Belmont Hotel. It has the best view of the Dallas skyline on their gorgeous outdoor bar patio.

The Belmont Hotel is a little historic boutique hotel. Its been around since the 1940s!

INSTAPOST: Double Wide

So I think visiting or living in a new city is all about finding the small places that the locals go to eat or drink… those are always the best. These past few weeks starting my adventure in Dallas, we have been trying to find cool places to eat, drink, and really do anything. A lot of people from our office suggested Double Wide, an eclectic bar in Deep Ellum. An bar made from an actual double wide serving drinks like Yoo-Hoo Yeehaws (a Yoo-Hoos take on a white russian) and glasses rimmed with Pixie Stick candy. Love. Here are a few photos from that trip!

ENTERTAINING: Bar Tray 101

I feel like the topic of bar carts and in home bars has just exploded all over blogs! The idea of elaborate cocktail parties and entertaining company is a little far fetched for a college lady like myself, but there are definitely times that I wish my beverage presentation was a little more than a solo cup, some stale ice and whatever liquor we didn’t drink the previous weekend. I crave more than that. I love pretty things. My solution: A Bar Tray. Not as complicated as a bar cart or actual bar, accessible, versatile, moveable, and the best one… AFFORDABLE.
