HOME-SPIRATION: Painted Ceilings

From my extremely limited painting experience, I have come to realize that painting the ceiling is possibly the worst and most difficult part of the whole ordeal (so naturally David is the one who has painted all of our ceilings! Thank goodness for him!) This home-spiration, while back breaking, is such a great way to bring color and a bit of quirk to any space! Plus the idea is perfect if you only want to paint one wall, why not the ceiling? Here are some of my favorite home-spirations for painted ceilings.

HOME-SPIRATION: Painted Window Frames

Im sure this would be quite tedious in a room with larger windows, but painting the window frames a bright pop color or even a dark neutral really bring a great look to any room! Plus this is a much smaller commitment than painting an entire room while still adding great color and dimension! Here are some of my favorite home-spirations for painted window frames.

HOME-SPIRATION: Power of Pastels

I usually love to paint and decorate a space with deep neutrals and strong colors, but with Eater and Spring approaching I thought I would see what types of great interiors incorporate pastels! Making your favorite color light and airy as a pastel really makes it perfect for any space, and adds a lot of light to a room. Here are some of my favorite home-spiration images for pastel interiors. LOVE LETTERS TO HOME.

HOUSEHOLD GUIDE: Pattern Mixing

Mixing multiple patterns in your home decor is a very popular trend right now but it can always be a daunting task for those not particularly design inclined. B don’t fear, there are some really simple and fool proof ways to add pattern to your life and your decor! Here are a few great ways to mix patterns.

the most fool proof way to add pattern to your life is to stick with a monochromatic color scheme. Different patterns all in the same color hue is a beautiful way to start mixing patterns up!

REINCARNATION: Anthropologie Tablewares

LOVE LETTERS TO HOME.

So I, like everyone else in the world, am OBSESSED with Anthropologie tableware. Over the years I have slowly purchased bowls, plates, and mugs from Anthropolgie from their glorious sale shelves. My theory is that if I slowly collect them, my kitchen will one day be nothing but mixed matched and beautiful Anthropolgie tableware. I have recently wanted to speed up this process so I have tried to find less expensive but just as unique routes for tableware! One of the greatest places to look is ETSY! There are TONS of ceramic and pottery shops that have inexpensive, unique, and beautiful pieces! Another option is to look at department store websites… and buy cool plates or unique mugs as singles and not as place settings so you still get that mixed match Anthropologie feel! Here are a few of my favorites for you to check out!…

HOUSEHOLD GUIDE: Color Schemes

Color schemes. My favorite part the beginning process of planning a room. A color scheme is not just the color of the walls (speaking from someone who has always lived in a place she could not paint!). A color scheme has to do with fabrics, accessories, furniture, and carpets! Here are a few different takes on brainstorming a color scheme…
