REINCARNATION: Floor Poufs

The floor pouf. A fancy way to say pillow? or so much more? I am going to say, for me, the jury is still out on this idea. This floor pillows have been around forever, and I find them perfect for a family with kids, but I think there might be a sophisticated way to bring them in to any space! Here are some of my favorite home-spirations for floor poufs, and some of my favorite pick for any space.

I love this and this makes me laugh all at the same time. David and I are huge Will & Grace fans and this always reminds me of the “dinner party” Grace threw where everyone had to sit on the floor. This is much more chic!

 

I don’t think I could convince David to snuggle up on the floor with me. But I love this idea!

With thanksgiving right around the corner, I have been obsessing over tablescapes and the idea of a fall dinner party! Being in Texas and loving the mild weather here I love the idea of an outdoor fall dinner party, here are some of my favorite entertaining inspirations.

Through the process of registering for our wedding I have come to realize how many incredible options that are out there for flatware! I mean as I was looking at them all I could plan a dinner party in my head for each table setting. We chose a classic silverware place setting, The Monogrammed Hampstead from William Sonoma, we wanted something timeless. Though we chose something more traditional, a girl can always dream about crazy tablescapes! I have been seeing more and more pictures of gold flatware! This stuff is genius! HOME-SPIRATION: Unique Vent Hoods

One of the last and final steps of our downstairs renovation is to finish up the tile backsplash in our kitchen and put up our new vent hood. We decided to get rid of our clunky microwave/vent hood combination and replace it with an update and GORGEOUS vent hood (Thank you David for this amazing idea!) Here are some of my favorite home-spirations for unique vent hoods. They really can create a whole new look for a kitchen.

Of course after our recent renovation, I wouldn’t take anything but our gorgeous hardwood floors (mildly obsessed… yes) But I came across a picture of this gorgeous entry way with brick floors and I thought it was just too amazing not to share. I never thought finding lighting and light fixtures would be the most difficult things to find on our home renovation, but boy was I wrong! I spent hours looking for the perfect light fixtures that were great for our space, but also unique. There are so many cookie cutter light fixtures, and little do people know you CAN find something unique for your space at the same price. I thought I would dedicate this lighting post to a very unique type of light fixture I found, the woven pendant. Pendents are a great light fixture in any room, over tables, in hallways, and over bars! HOME-SPIRATION: Outdoor Fireplace

So in recent months I have done A LOT of outdoor fire pit and patio posts. I think it is due to the fact that having recently moved to Dallas I am realizing how many months of the year outdoor spaces can be utilized here! I mean its October and today the high is 90 degrees! Yes I do miss the leaves changing and bundling up for fall activities, but I definitely do not miss the snow and cold! I love the idea of an outdoor fireplace for these late fall months in Dallas. It does get cool at night and I can imagine me and David having a place in the future with a gorgeous outdoor space, drinking wine and enjoying an outdoor fire.
