REINCARNATION: Rustic Wreathes

I am so excited for the holidays coming up, but I really need to get in to the Autumn spirit! I think with the lack of season change here in Texas I haven’t realized it is fall yet! I thought the easiest place to start would be an Autumn wreath, but to be completely honest with you, I have never really been a huge wreath person. They are so expensive, and some are quite frankly just tacky! But I have recently fallen IN LOVE with the idea of rustic wreathes. Natural elements and seasonal items make these wreathes not only bare able, but one of my must haves for the holiday season! HOME-SPIRATION: Lost Art of Potpourri

I was shopping in Pottery Barn yesterday and came across some amazing home scents. Sitting on the table next to these delicious candles was some even more delicious smelling potpourri. I don’t know what shocked me more the fact that potpourri still exists or that this potpourri actually smelled amazing! The only memory I have of potpourri is the crusty, fragrant-less potpourri from my grandmas bathroom. So I wanted to do a little research… does modern potpourri exist? and how does one use it without aging themselves 50 years? Here are a few of my home-spirations that might inspire you to get your potpourri on!

If you find a combination you love… bag it up and it makes for a great little something to put in a housewarming basket!

 

Lavender is a calming scent so make a few bags and toss them in to your linen closet for fresh linens and towels every day!

 

If you don’t find any scents your love but find some amazing looking potpourri put it in some amazing apothecary vases and create a center piece!
