In honor of our new backdoor being installed today, I thought I would share some of my favorite home-spiration images of bold new doors. You can you use color on any door to give a space a unique feel or just a pop of color!
From my extremely limited painting experience, I have come to realize that painting the ceiling is possibly the worst and most difficult part of the whole ordeal (so naturally David is the one who has painted all of our ceilings! Thank goodness for him!) This home-spiration, while back breaking, is such a great way to bring color and a bit of quirk to any space! Plus the idea is perfect if you only want to paint one wall, why not the ceiling? Here are some of my favorite home-spirations for painted ceilings.
This week is a huge week in our renovations, we finally have floors! Not just any floors but beautiful amazing hand scraped hardwood floors. So this post is an ode to the three months that David and I spent with concrete floors. Here are my favorite home-spirations images of concrete in your home! Hopefully we will never have to see that much concrete ever again, unless its in this beautiful way!
This past weekend I surprised David and gave him his office back. Many of you might be reading this wondering what happened to his office in the first place? Well my kind and gracious husband-to-be let me turn his bachelor pad office (full equipped with bo-flex machine) in to a quirky quest bedroom and a full time clothes closet. I finally came to my senses and realized that David and I both need a space to work and feel comfortable! From that, the idea of a his and her office was born. Next came the challenge of surprising him, luckily he was off to a fantasy football draft and golf outing with his friends this past weekend so it was the perfect time. More on the surprise later, first here are some of my favorite his and her office home-spirations.
David’s mom, Karen, just got gorgeous plantation shutters that completely inspired me. I have always loved the look, but I couldn’t decide if plantation shutters were worth giving up curtains (I love a good pattern or pop of color)! I mean you could always have both, but that is a little redundant. After seeing her amazing plantation shutters I have become a believer. Here are some of my favorite home-spiration images for plantation shutters. They might just make you a believer too!
So in the past nine and a half months I have definitely learned more about plumbing fixtures than I ever thought I would know, thanks to my amazing boyfriend David. I am always trying to look up and find new sinks, or bathroom fixtures and I finally found something I am completely shocked by, the wooden bathtub! I guess I am shocked that it exists and then I am shocked that I absolutely love it! Here are some of my favorite home-spiration images of the wooden bathtub or regular bathtubs that are surrounded by wood.
