This past weekend I surprised David and gave him his office back. Many of you might be reading this wondering what happened to his office in the first place? Well my kind and gracious husband-to-be let me turn his bachelor pad office (full equipped with bo-flex machine) in to a quirky quest bedroom and a full time clothes closet. I finally came to my senses and realized that David and I both need a space to work and feel comfortable! From that, the idea of a his and her office was born. Next came the challenge of surprising him, luckily he was off to a fantasy football draft and golf outing with his friends this past weekend so it was the perfect time. More on the surprise later, first here are some of my favorite his and her office home-spirations.
We are trying to find the perfect balance of masculine and feminine in decorating our home. Of course their are spaces that I want to be more masculine than others, and one of those is the office are. With David working from home, I need something that I love (to look at) and that he loves (to work at) A place with the perfect balance of masculinity and function. Its a difficult process! Here are some of my favorite home-spiration images for a masculine, balanced office.
So with a freezer full of deer meat and a boyfriend who looks great in camo, I have come to realize that hunting will always be a part of my life. Surprisingly I am okay with this, partly because J.Crew just came out with some adorable camo items! But now that it is almost deer season I am really trying to score some amazing antlers! I found such great home-spiration photos for rustic chic looks involving antlers! Here are some of my favorites…
I do all of my work (school, blog, work-work) in my giant comfy bed. But I have always wanted a beautiful desk/office space to really get things done! I found a lot of unique office space inspirations, that had a common thread to their unique-ness… THE CHAIR! The throne, I would like to call it, is the cherry on top to any office space. The great thing about this is that there are a lot of AFFORDABLE options at IKEA.
Here are my office inspirations.
