HOUSEHOLD GUIDE: Decorating with Monograms

If you know me (even just a little bit) you know how much I truly love a good monogram. Clothes, bags, interiors… it doesn’t matter, call me crazy but I think it should have a monogram! Here are a variety of ways to use your monogram in your own home!

use your monogram in your BEDROOM…

if you don't want to do a full monogram (or aren't ready to take that big jump yet) you can always get throw pillows with your last initial on them!

ENTERTAINING: Coffee Bar

If you’re a coffee and tea drinker like me (I try to stay away from coffee… but its just too great), you can definitely see yourself having a little coffee bar/breakfast area in your home or kitchen. A place to keep all the coffee mess in one place, and making your at home coffee experience just as fun as making a trip to a coffee shop. Plus this is a great (and casual) way to entertain surprise (or even invited) guests!

I did a small stint as a coffee barista a year ago and fell in love with espresso. I've always told myself I'll feel as though I've "made it" when I can afford an espresso machine of my very own!

HOME-SPIRATION: The Four-Poster Bed

So if you have read previous posts you will know that I think the cornerstone to any bedroom is clearly an amazing bed! Its where you will spend your lazy days reading and watching Girls on HBOgo, eating breakfast in bed with your boyfriend, or staying up late cramming for your exam or a presentation at work. With that being said, I have always thought that four poster beds were a little superfluous, a little too romantic and whimsical for my own taste, but recently I have found some amazing images that have really inspired me to believe that the four-poster bed is making a modern come back. Let me know your thoughts!

REINCARNATION: Breakfast Nook

I really love the idea of a breakfast nook. It may stem from the fact that breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, and I can imagine nothing more luxurious than milling over the paper with breakfast and coffee in a gorgeously decorated nook. Hello? Doesn’t this sound delightful, people?!

PRODUCT FEATURE: Target’s Threshold Organic Blankets

I try not to go to Target that often because I want to buy EVERYTHING on the shelves. And it definitely is a problem. Recently I caved and went to Target to find cute Valentines day goodies for my roommates (more on that in a late post! so stayed tuned) but I fell in LOVE with this amazing organic blanket by Threshold in the bedding section. I have actually had a home goods crush on this blanket ever since I featured it in my first blog post!

Featured in my FIRST EVER post on this blog- this is the Threshold Organic Blanket selection at Target.

I chose the Grey one! (I recently purchased an orange blanket from HomeGoods so I opted for a new color– but I am still OBSESSED with the orange Threshold option here!
