REINCARNATION: Morocco

This whole post really stemmed from reading [more like gazing deeply] at all the amazing pictures in Angelika Taschen’s book, Morocco Style, while at work. I just love the color and shapes combinations in Moroccan style interiors and architecture.

Well there are plenty of ways to bring a little Moroccan flair in to your home without breaking the bank. The best ways to look for unique items to add character to your interiors are Estate and Garage sales, even consignment shops and vintage stores. But here are a few pieces sold online or in major retailers that will add Moroccan charm to any room.

Moroccan Triple Gourd 1-light Orange Table Lamps (Set of 2) $224.99 *come in Navy and Green as well These would be perfect to add Moroccan flair on an end table or even on a bedside table.

WEBSITE OF THE WEEK: VivaTerra

I decided to do a weekly website feature because I feel like I am always looking on the same home goods websites for inspiration and products [West Elm, Potterybarn, Wayfair, Overstock, etc.] So I wanted to branch out and challenge myself to find new websites or companies that sell great products and a great price. The first one I found is VivaTerra.com! They offer a wide variety of home goods for any room in the house, plus they promote made in the USA products and many of their items are made from recycled products.

LOVE LETTERS TO HOME.

“Our name VivaTerra or living earth is inspired by our dedication to living in harmony with nature – for a healthier life now and for future generations. All of our products reflect a commitment to:

ecology and elegance: The finest goods that uniquely fuse exceptional quality and design with eco sensitivities.

organic, sustainable sources: The purest ingredients and sustainable resources possible – selected to be the best available.

earth and people friendly: Partners and suppliers who share our values and work to make a positive difference in the world.

handcrafted by artisans: Distinctive goods of uncommon value, handcrafted by passionate designers and artisans.

celebrate life: Celebrate life and human spirit by honoring traditions from cultures around the world.”

Here are a few [definitely not all] inspiring products that VivaTerra offers on their website:

This is their Tree Of Life bed retailing for around $3000. A serious splurge for this girl on a budget but its so unique it really does seem worth it as a statement piece.
